Meet the TEAM

Meet the TEAM

You do not need to know a single soul to join us. Just turn up and we will do the rest. From your first hello at the door, our friendly team will help you feel relaxed, supported and ready to dance. We are a joyful mix of professional and passionate dancers who volunteer their time simply because we love dancing and love helping others fall in love with it too.

Amy Packer

I absolutely love dancing, its fab exercise, without feeling like it and everyone is super friendly and helpful. I have a new bunch of crazy dance friends and I love it!

Nikki Fallows

Dancing is like breathing and being part of a team like Jive frenzy is like having an extended family.

Neil Marsh

I would love to support and encourage any dancer at any stage of their dance journey and put back into modern jive the enjoyment that I continue to get at Jive Frenzy and elsewhere.  Please ask me for a dance. I won’t say no!

Tina Hughes

Helping others to get started, and hearing them say that they wish they had found this dance community sooner, is very rewarding.

Helen Willis

Helen has been dancing longer than she can remember, a veteran on the circuit, she’s danced all across the UK, and we are lucky to have her here at Jive Frenzy, with boundless enthusiasm, great moves. Her speciality is in hold, and if you are a new dancer, you are in great hands.

Been dancing  since 2011 started  with modern  jive  and  went on to West coast  swing  around  10 years ago   and tried tango and  ballroom  at other jive  events…Being part of the JF crew  is  rewarding  seeing  new dancers come along and  help them  to progress  in  their  dance  journey.

I first got into dancing when I was a teenager. Talked into it by an older friend who was ex royal ballet and had a dance school. I did Salsa 20 years ago for a few years. I got into modern jive dancing in 2018. I like being part of the Jive Frenzy crew to help others learn and I enjoy being with a great bunch of people as part of the crew.

I started dancing at them beginning of last year. I came to Jive Frenzy as I recently lost my wife and was thinking what’s my purpose in life right now. Kids all left home etc. Kane and Holly have given me a new lease of life. I love the music,  dancing makes me feel young again and gives me a reason to keep going.
Tuesday night is the highlight of my week. Making new friends, smiling and laughing again. It’s my life now and I’m loving it.

Would I recommend it… absolutely! Give it a go, you wont be disappointed.

Introduced to modern jive by her husband and co-founder Kane around three years ago, Holly was quickly drawn into the world of social partner dancing. What began as curiosity soon became a genuine passion. Holly often describes dance as a life-saver — bringing her a happier, healthier social life, regular exercise, and a renewed sense of wellbeing. The joy of music and movement has had a positive impact on her mental health, boosted her confidence, and even delivered some unexpected fitness benefits along the way. At Jive Frenzy, Holly warmly welcomes dancers of all levels, from complete beginners — who can enjoy their first lesson free — to experienced social dancers. Remembering clearly how nerve-wracking it felt to step onto the dance floor for the first time, Holly is passionate about creating a club that feels safe, inclusive, and supportive. Her aim is to build an environment where dancers can progress at their own pace while enjoying genuine social connection and kindness. Many people attend Jive Frenzy on their own and soon find themselves part of a friendly community, forming new friendships they look forward to each week. Beyond the dance floor, Holly helps coordinate events, classes, and outreach alongside the wider Jive Frenzy team. Always full of ideas, she loves finding creative and fun ways to bring people together. Holly firmly believes that dance — whether fast or slow, fancy or simple — should be accessible to everyone, offering not just movement, but connection, confidence, and community.

With over two decades of experience dancing Modern Jive, Kane is a fully qualified UKA/LeRoc instructor and a highly respected figure within the wider dance community. Over the past 12 years, he has taught and demonstrated at numerous independent venues nationwide, working with dancers of all abilities — from complete beginners taking their first steps onto the dance floor to advanced dancers exploring workshop-level techniques, including dips, drops, and aerials.

Alongside his teaching, Kane is also Jive Frenzy’s resident DJ. He brings energy, musicality, and atmosphere to dance floors across the UK and Europe, performing at well-known weekenders and established dance events. His DJ sets are carefully curated to complement social dancing, and his combined skills as both instructor and DJ allow him to create engaging, enjoyable experiences for dancers of all levels.

Under Kane’s leadership, Jive Frenzy delivers weekly Modern Jive classes, monthly freestyles, and specialist workshops. This includes popular hybrid freestyle sessions that blend Modern Jive with styles such as West Coast Swing and Smooth Jive, offering variety and progression within a relaxed, friendly environment.

Kane is deeply committed to making dance accessible, fun, and inclusive. He believes dance should be welcoming rather than intimidating, providing a space where people can connect, stay active, and enjoy themselves. For Kane, dance is not just about technique — it’s about confidence, community, and the shared joy of movement.

I have been dancing since I was 3, ballet, tap and modern. I only started Modern Jive when I was in my late teens. I dragged a few friends along and fell in love with it. After a couple of years life took over and I stopped dancing. Fast forward 12 years and a friend asked me if I wanted to dust off my dancing shoes and go to Jive frenzy.

I started my dancing journey 10 years ago after meeting someone on a cruise who did modern jive and doing some dance lessons with him on that. He convinced me to find a local jive group and from there I never looked back. My daughter also saw my enthusiasm for it and joined me in learning it. I lost weight and started to build a social circle that is still with me now. I got invited to not only dance events but attended birthday parties, BBQs, weekenders, weddings and nights out and made lasting bonds with lovely people. Everyone was so friendly, open and honest and before long I was hooked and my life was changed forever. 10 years in and I still love it.

My dance journey began in the same way that it does for many ladies; ballet as a child which came to a halt around 9 years old when I found out that I wouldn’t be allowed to stand on my toes until I was 12. I then moved to Ballroom and Latin only having time to achieve bronze medals before the arrival of disco which seemed much more exciting at the time! After a 20+ year break from dancing, due to a partner who didn’t feel the need to dance, I found modern jive and realised what had been missing in my life. I’ve made so many friends along the way and no week is complete without some time spent on the dance floor. I was honoured to be asked to crew for Jive Frenzy and love being part of the team.
